The top five influencer category in South East Asia are beauty, fashion, fitness, travel and food. Recently, more and more influencers are turning into ‘lifestyle’ influencers where they are able to work with many different brands and product types. Influencers will start off with a certain niche and then expand into other areas to broaden their expertise once their following starts to grow. In Thailand, theres a large amount of beauty influencers that do skincare reviews and make up tutorials, however most of those influencers have now started to document their travel adventures and share food posts. Although influencers that stick to one category have a more specific audience where brands can reach directly, some influencers are liked for their personality and therefore are trusted by their audience wether they are just a beauty influencer or a lifestyle influencer endorsing many different products.
